Man United’s Fellaini Risks Mourinho’s Backlash After Being Spotted Smoking In Ibiza (Photos)
Few
days after Belgium were surprisingly dumped out of Euro 2016 by Wales,
Manchester United midfielder, Marouane Fellaini jetted off to the
Mediterranean to get some rest ahead of the new season.
Exclusive photos obtained by TheSun.co.uk, showed the 28-year-old puffing on a huge cigar, while on holiday with his twin brother, Mansour and friends, in Ibiza beach of the Balearic island, around the Mediterranean Sea.
Fellaini is unlikely to form a central part of new manager, Jose Mourinho’s plan next season but being caught relaxing on a beach, enjoying a few puffs is likely to see him incur the wrath of the ‘special one’.
The Belgium midfielder was the topic of discussion on Wednesday after he was snapped smoking a cigar while on holiday with his twin brother.
While the new Manchester United manager admitted Wilshere was not exactly painting himself as an ideal role model, he did concede that the occasional cigarette would be unlikely to do his career any long-term harm.
The 6ft 4in midfielder, who was bought for £27.5million during the disastrous reign of David Moyes, Fellaini has struggled to impress at Old Trafford.
He started just 12 Premier League games last season and has only 11 goals in all competitions in his three seasons.

An onlooker said: “He didn’t look like he had a care in the world.”Mourinho was questioned about the impact smoking could have on elite athletes back in 2014 when Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere was caught smoking and drinking with England team-mate Joe Hart while on holiday in Las Vegas.

‘What football players do, millions and millions are watching, lots of kids are watching,’ he said two years ago.The hirsute midfielder will surely be hoping Mourinho hasn’t changed his opinion in the intervening years, in the face of his polarised nature among supporters of the club.
‘I’m not a specialist, obviously, but I don’t think if a football player smokes one cigar or cigarette with friends in the summer when he is not training – I don’t think it affects his performance.
‘What gets affected is that a kid at home says if a top football player can smoke then I can smoke and it is not a problem.
‘It is more a social consequence than a physical consequence.
‘Would I be angry if it was my player? Being angry is not a solution but I would just explain exactly that, that everything they do or wear is part of the kids’ life.
‘If they smoke, maybe the kids think they do it a lot of times and they will probably do the same.’
